Origin

Marcus began with Dub-Hop collective Dubmerge ,as producer and guitartist leaving to start playing with UK dub pioneers Zion Train. After three highly inspired years of touring Europe with Z.T. Marcus decided to leave and focus on new work, build a new studio and with a bag full of ideas fill in a blank canvas with fresh sounds…..


History
The original line-up of DUBROVNIK was formed in 2004, after Marcus Campbell was offered his first gig at the internationally acclaimed Ashton Court festival (the
programmer for the global stage accidentally heard a CD of some very early DUBROVNIK tunes made at home on a PC). The gig was a stormer and thanks to a wonderful write-up in the programme, the marquee was rammed and the party began. Since the beginning producer Marcus has been tweaking the collective’s sound, much of which is documented in his debut 9 track album released on This One Recordings.

 

Live
The live DUBROVNIK show is a bass heavy, friendly carnival mash-up with warped beats, vocals, brass, dub mixing, and FX complete with an array of exotic dancers and vibesters for an incredible irresistable dance party.

Rocking it onstage, blending dub, house and electronica with carnival show girl dancers ,one of whom is angle grinding her metal pants are Dubrovnik.
